WWT — which first indicated it was supporting MobiledgeX in February 2019 — said it has gained responsibility for validating application “blueprints” that developers put together on the MobiledgeX platform. The service will be delivered via WWT’s three Global Integration Centres, based in the Netherlands, Singapore, and the USA. Through the partnership, the two businesses aim to “accelerate the commercialisation of scalable MEC deployments”.

WWT, Dell EMC, and VMware are among the technology partners that MobiledgeX has flagged it is collaborating with on infrastructure for development partners. Its most high-profile services tie‑up so far has been with gaming player Niantic (Deutsche Telekomwatch, #81). From the service provider side, its stated operator partners include investors DT and SK Telecom, as well as Canadian operator TELUS (Deutsche Telekomwatch, #83).
