Departure Tim Cavill, Regional Managing Director for the Australasia region at BT Global Services (BTGS), has departed the company to become a Senior VP at South African systems integrator Dimension Data (part of NTT).
Stephen Foster Appointment BTGS hired Stephen Foster as Finance Transformation Director. Foster was previously Financial Controller at CTIL (Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Limited), the network-sharing joint venture between rivals Vodafone UK and Telefónica UK.
Stefan Hischer New Role Stefan Hischer, Chief Executive of BT Germany & Austria, took on a new role as VP of Regional Enterprise & Transformation at the German division.
Ryan Jump Departure Ryan Jump, VP and Head of Sales for the United States & Canada region at BTGS, has left to become VP of Commercial Industries at NTT Data Services, the IT services division of NTT Data Corporation.
Joris van Oers Appointment BTGS announced that Joris van Oers had rejoined in April 2019 as Managing Director (MD) of the resources, manufacturing, and logistics vertical, in a move that will see him taking charge of BTGS’s operations in Europe.
Oers joins from Dutch operator KPN, where he was Executive VP of the telco’s business division, prior to which he was Country Manager for BT in the Benelux region between 2013 and 2015.
Oers takes over from Bernadette Wightman, who had fulfilled the role since joining from Cisco Systems in September 2018, where she was President of Cisco Canada (BTwatch, #299).
Bernadette Wightman New Role Wightman has become MD of Banking and Financial Services, and is also responsible for the unit’s regional activities in Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
Chet Patel New Role In another move potentially related to Oers’ appointment, Chet Patel, Global Transformation Officer & President of Continental Europe at BTGS, became the division’s Global Commercial and Transformation Officer.
In his new role, Patel heads up the Commercial team, as well as continuing in his transformation role, where he is responsible for delivering BTGS’s digital strategy.
Ashish Gupta New Role Wightman appears to be taking over from Ashish Gupta in leading the banking and financial services vertical.
Gupta was flagged as head of the area following the BTGS re‑focus, but is now listed on LinkedIn as President of Global Managed Accounts, overseeing account relationships for the division’s 200 largest customers. With the new role, Gupta no longer appears as a member of the BTGS leadership team.
Kees Pronk Appointment BTGS appointed Kees Pronk Global Director of Customer Success, based out of the Netherlands. Pronk was previously Director of Customer Success for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at American customer experience optimisation software provider Optimizely.
Stijn Raes Departure Stijn Raes, Director of Strategic Deals at BTGS, has joined the enterprise division at rival Orange Business Services as Head of Sales for Europe.
Tristan Morgan New Role Tristan Morgan, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and GM of Portfolio & Strategy at BT Security, was promoted to CTO & Director of Portfolio and Delivery at the security division.
