BT participated in a demonstration of a Zero Touch Partner Integration proof-of-concept (PoC) project at TM Forum’s (TMF) Digital Transformation Asia event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November 2019. The PoC, part of TMF’s Catalyst programme, addresses ways in which telcos can onboard new partners onto their platforms instantly, without any IT development work, based on TMF’s open application programming interfaces (APIs, BTwatch, #297, #305). This immediate onboarding is considered a crucial element of developing effective platform-based business and operational models.

The demonstration highlighted the ways in which a telco could facilitate an Internet of Things (IoT) marketplace, activating services and devices, as well as providing connectivity.

BT and Vodafone instigated the Zero Touch project and were joined by DGIT, Oracle, Sigma Systems and Unico to extend the prototype solution.
