- Dutch OpCo releases tool to track and improve Wi-Fi performance in homes and offices.
VodafoneZiggo (VfZ) released an application that is designed to help customers track and improve the performance of Wi‑Fi connectivity in their homes or offices. The Wifi Assistant is apparently the brainchild of Annebe Dalmijn, Product Owner, Business-to-Business at VfZ, who developed the app over the past year in collaboration with a VfZ team and Amsterdam‑based creative technology specialist Samhoud Media. According to VfZ, the app uses an algorithm and virtual reality technology to plot Wi‑Fi measurements and create a 3D map. The solution shows which places have the best connectivity and where it can be improved, while a virtual Wi‑Fi expert named Chris provides tips on what steps to take. John van Vianen, Business Market Director at VfZ, said the app is also available to users who are not VfZ customers.
