Amazon Web Services

Partner Development Manager

Amazon Web Services name-checked Vodafone as it flagged it was looking for a UK-based Partner Development Manager to help target communications service providers (CSP).

The vendor, which Vodafone has highlighted as its primary public cloud provider (Vodafonewatch, #176), said the position will require “strong commercial understanding of the business models of CSPs such as Verizon, BT, Vodafone, etc”.

The role involves helping “define and execute high impact, joint business development and go-to-market programmes”, with a focus on telco and data centre environments.

Cisco Systems

Partner Account Manager

Cisco Systems indicated it was seeking a Vodafone Italy-focused Partner Account Manager, with aim to expand its channel ties with the operator.

The role concentrates on building the “overall partner relationship” and “crafting and executing the cisco go-to-market and service creation agenda”, said Cisco.

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise

Global Account Manager

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise said it was searching for a Storage Global Account Manager to handle its international business with Vodafone, including by developing “pursuit plans” and building and managing its storage sales pipeline with the Group.

Global Account Manager

IBM-owned software player RedHat indicated it was seeking a Vodafone-focused Territory Services Manager for its Telecommunications Consulting team.

As well as the UK market in general, the role concentrates on “our services business at Vodafone globally, with a main focus on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa”, said RedHat.

Responsibilities include “providing leadership for services-lead business opportunities and positioning consulting and training services as part of the wider RedHat portfolio of offerings”, it added. Areas the role is said to focus on include “digital network” (such as network functions virtualisation), “digital operation” (business and operations support systems), and “digital client experience”.

Vodafone Egypt and VodafoneZiggo have recently highlighted cloud infrastructure projects with RedHat (Vodafonewatch, #174 and #175), while IBM —which completed its acquisition of the vendor in July2019 —has indicated it is seeking to bring RedHat offerings to bear on its cloud services venture with VodafoneBusiness (Vodafonewatch, #179).
