VdT said it was investing $150,000 (£121,860/€137,208) into the accelerator hub, and highlighted the programme’s focus on Tanzania’s young entrepreneurs.

The hub is to run to support programmes on an annual basis and cited focus on the e‑commerce, education, financial technology, health, media, and telecoms sectors. Selected startups will receive mentorship, marketing, technical assistance, and exposure to Vodacom and the SmartLab’s corporate resources and network of partners, as well as exclusive partnership deals with VdT to offer their solutions.
