Vodafone-backed innovation hot-house Tomorrow Street flagged it has tied contextual decision intelligence software provider Quantexa as part of a new set of startup relationships.

The joint venture between Vodafone and Luxembourg tech incubator Technoport hinted in early‑October that three partners will be added to its portfolio “soon”, expanding on its current five‑strong cohort.

London‑based Quantexa, the first of the three to be announced, will make its platform available to Vodafone partners and customers. Quantexa Chief Executive Vishal Marria described the link-up as “part of our commitment to growth across Europe”.

The Quantexa Contextual Decision Intelligence (CDI) platform purports to support operational decision‑making for clients across a number of verticals, with banking, government, and insurance earmarked as key focuses.

In July 2020 Quantexa closed a $64.7m (€54.8m/£50m) Series C funding round, led by Evolution Equity Partners, with other participants including the venturing arm of previous investor and Tomorrow Street strategic partner Accenture. On announcing the round, Quantexa claimed to have users in 70 countries, and to have set targets to expand CDI rollout in the public sector while growing uptake in the financial sector. There was no mention of any involvement by Vodafone in the round.

A growing family

Tomorrow Street has not been prolific since its debut in 2017, but recently added SecurityScorecard to its pool. The vendor, which joined in August 2020, offers a platform enabling the management and monitoring of cybersecurity risks. The Tomorrow Street partnership will help fuel growth outside of its native North America, according to CEO Alexsandr Yampolskiy.
