Departure

Ilya Kazansky, a Technology Director within Telefónica’s Digital unit, left the company to become Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at family safety app provider GeoZilla.

Kazansky joined Telefónica in 2017 when the data analytics startup he co‑founded, Statiq, was acquired by the Group (Telefónicawatch, #115 and #129).

Diego Martín Sanz

Appointment

LUCA, Telefónica’s data unit, appointed Diego Martín Sanz as Senior Big Data Architect. He joins from rival Vodafone, where he was Big Data Solutions Architect for Internet of Things (IoT) products.

In his new role, Martín is responsible for big data, machine learning, and advanced analytics architecture design and deployment on cloud environments for LUCA‑specific projects.
