- TMPL confirmed the initiation of a network access relationship with cable operator Inea for bitstream access.
T‑Mobile Poland (TMPL) confirmed the initiation of a network access relationship with cable operator Inea (Deutsche Telekomwatch, #88). The agreement, focused on bitstream access, is said to last for an indefinite period, and give TMPL access to the fibre network that Inea is building under the Digital Poland (POPC) project. TMPL indicated that the collaboration could be extended in future, and noted than Inea has also signed a technical partnership agreement to support its home network services. TMPL has already formed a fibre wholesaling agreement with incumbent Orange Poland, which is supporting newly launched fibre services, and is expected to enact a further relationship with fibre player Nexera in 2020. The NatCo is shoring up wireline access capabilities in order to support new streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix as part of recently launched wireline broadband and multi‑play packages (Deutsche Telekomwatch, #79 and #85).
