- Cyan to provide network‑based cybersecurity solutions for the Greek provider.
- Content filtration service Cosmote OnNet Security partnership’s first offering.
- New solution will be provided free with Business Double Play packages.
OTE Group released a Cosmote OnNet Security service after partnering with cybersecurity solutions provider Cyan.
The service filters content deemed harmful or illegal without end users having to install additional software on their devices. Using Cyan “in‑house proprietary and patented threat intelligence”, the planned solution will detect phishing, viruses, and other malware in “real time”.
Cyan Chief Executive Frank von Seth highlighted that full integration of the cybersecurity solution took six weeks, with claims that OnNet Security will “integrate seamlessly” into the operator’s current infrastructure.
The service will be offered for free to customers of Cosmote’s Business Double Play, a portfolio of internet and phone service packages provided to businesses.
In addition to Cosmote, the partnership will see Cyan produce further network‑based security solutions for OTE Group, with services aimed at business customers. The move was noted to help meet the “increasing demand for converged security”.
