WidePoint, a communications management solutions provider, flagged the signing of a three‑year, $6m (£5.6m) contract with BT Group.

During its results presentation for the year to 30 December 2019, WidePoint said its subsidiary Soft‑ex had renewed its deal with BT to provide cloud‑based and on‑site telecoms and analytics solutions for BT’s customer base. The move is said to have taken place in the first half of 2019, and sees BT licensing the Soft‑ex technology. The renewed contract is said to mark a “small expansion” of the relationship.

Soft‑ex has a longstanding partnership with BT, pre‑dating its acquisition by WidePoint in 2014 (BTwatch, #223). WidePoint as a group generates about $100m in annual revenue.
