  • Video software provider vyntelligence joined Adastral Park’s Innovation Martlesham cluster of high‑tech startups. Dean Gasson, Applied Research Manager and Ecosystem Acceleration Centre UK Lead at BT, indicated that the tie‑up will explore use‑cases of vyn (Video YourNotes) technology that “drive operational efficiency in field operations”. vyn is said to ensure the safety of field‑based engineers via a solution that meets challenges brought by COVID‑19 and social distancing protocols. The solution includes a “remote site audit” capability, enabling engineers to conduct and record an onsite risk assessment test using their smartphone camera, and then share findings on the cloud (the “vyn‑as-a‑service” platform). Another perk is that vyn appears to enable field teams to communicate with customers remotely via video link to help diagnose and resolve on‑premise issues (reducing the need for site visits).
