Lenovo revealed that T‑Systems (T‑Sys) has implemented its recently launched Lenovo Open Cloud Automation (LOC‑A) offering, in an effort to improve efficiencies and cut costs across data centre infrastructure. Lenovo said deployment of the LOC‑A solution was geared towards reducing deployment lead times, accelerate new customer on‑boarding, and more generally cutting operating expense. The LOC‑A service is described as a multi‑access edge computing (MEC) platform and architecture that enables deployment, automation, and management of edge computing solutions from a single location. It supports Kubernetes, OpenStack, Red Hat OpenShift, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
