T‑Mobile Netherlands (TMNL) extended a collaboration with Primevest Capital Partners on fibre‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) network deployment, with a target of connecting at least 100,000 more households in 2020. Precise locations were not revealed, but the aim is to provide fibre connectivity in areas without any existing fibre networks. The NatCo’s FTTH network already connects 32,000 households and businesses in the Segbroek district of Den Haag, and TMNL said it provides fibre services to 20,000 of these premises. Primevest owns the passive infrastructure, which enables TMNL to operate the network “at very favourable conditions”. It is not clear if contractor VolkerWessels Telecom, which is responsible for building the network in Den Haag, will be involved in the expansion plans (DeutscheTelekomwatch, #88).
