- End-to-end replacement of assurance point solutions.
Telecom software vendor MYCOM OSI highlighted a deal to automate and revamp Magenta Telekom’s (MT) “performance management” functions using its Assurance Cloud Service (ACS) software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution.
The data analytics and forecasting system will be deployed across MT’s converged communication services (fixed and mobile), and run on public cloud infrastructure supplied by Amazon Web Services.
What this essentially means is that MT AT will be moving its service quality and fault management functions onto the cloud, which entails the replacement of existing and monolithic “domain-specific assurance systems with a single cross-domain, end-to-end assurance capability”, according to the vendor.
The enhancement is said to deliver customer benefits such as faster detection analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of problems within the NatCo’s network, facilitating advanced and time-redundant troubleshooting processes that would otherwise be handled manually, thus providing “lower assurance systems total cost-of-ownership”.
The announcement did not disclose a timeframe for the completion of the service integration, but did hint at the prospect of future updates, such as the addition of its digital Service Quality Management application (which Telekom Deutschland has leveraged since 2017 — Deutsche Telekomwatch, #61).
